Sending love for Walker Lake:

In my high school years in the late 50’s, I passed by beautiful Walker La. The water level was close to the highway leading to the town of Hawthorne (Nev.). Passing by the lake in the late 70’s, I bought a lot close to the water with the thought of retirement in the area. Subsequent to my purchase, while on active duty, my dad kept me current on the status of the lake. High water, low water, no water a pattern reflected by the fish in the lake.

Still hoping that Walker Lake can gain enough water to allow “hardened off” Tui Chub and every healthy other fish and aquatic life to survive & proliferate and provide food for migrating birds who have used the land & lake for thousands of years.
